Questions You Might Have Before We Begin
-
Once we've scheduled our consultation, you'll receive an email to set up your own client portal where you'll find the paperwork that's required to be completed prior to meeting.
-
Once we've scheduled your first session, you'll get access to a private portal where you can take care of any required paperwork ahead of time.

Starting therapy is a big decision, and it's easy to lose momentum when you're stuck waiting. Because of that, I don't keep a waiting list. If I don't have an opening right now, I'd rather you find support with someone else than wait around for me. If you'd still like to work together, feel free to check back every few weeks — openings do come up.

I see clients in person on a limited basis in Huntington Beach, currently one day a week. Reach out directly and I can let you know what's available.

No. My work is with individuals, not couples. I help clients understand their own patterns, history, and how those show up in their present relationships, which is different work and requires a different kind of training than couples therapy does. If I care about your relationship, the most honest thing I can do is refer you to someone who specializes in exactly that.

My practice is strictly individual. A lot of care is put into creating a safe therapy space for my clients, and an important part of my job is to protect it. Requests to invite others into our therapeutic space will be considered on a case by case basis, depending on how it can benefit treatment.

That's entirely up to you. Instagram is public, and some of what I post touches on topics we might discuss in session, but it isn't a substitute for our work together.
Because Instagram is not a secured platform, I will not engage in private messaging with clients, especially pertaining to our work together.
-
Only for clients I've worked with long-term and have had the chance to properly evaluate. It's not something I can offer to new or short-term clients.
-
Not every client is the right fit for every therapist, and that's normal. If we meet and it turns out I'm not the best match for what you need, whether that's the type of work, timing, or because you'd prefer a provider who accepts insurance, I'll do my best to point you somewhere useful.
I'm also the Clinical Director at Flow Wellness Hub, a group practice that works with a wider range of clients and does accept insurance. I'm glad to make that connection if it's the better path for you.
-
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a $100 fee. Cancellations within 2 hours of your appointment, or missed sessions, are charged at the full session rate.
-
All active clients are required to have a credit card on file. If you have a PPO health plan and would like to obtain reimbursement from your insurance, you may request to receive monthly Superbills.
-
Financial circumstances change, and I'd rather work with you than send a balance to collections. If you're facing a hardship, reach out to me directly so we can figure out an arrangement.
-
You may have found me from a list provided by your insurance, however, I am only credentialed under my group practice, Flow Wellness Hub, as a requirement to serve as a clinical supervisor to pre-licensed associates.
In my solo practice as a psychotherapist, I am not credentialed as an in-network provider. Our services will be fully out-of-pocket.
